A review of recent advances in the operations research literature on the green routing problem and its variants

Since early 2010s, the Green Routing Problem (GRP) has dominated literature of logistics and transportation. The problem itself consists finding a set vehicle routes for customers while minimizing detrimental effects transportation activities. These negative externalities have been intensively tackled in last decade. Operations research studies particularly focused on energy consumption emissions. As result, rich GRPs already reached its peak, several reviews conducted various aspects related routing scheduling variants. major contribution this paper is that it represents comprehensive review current GRP studies. In addition to that, an up-to-date based new chronological taxonomy literature. detailed analysis provides useful framework understanding gaps future potential impacts academic community.
